Lt. Gov. Crouch, OCRA present New Castle Main Street with 2024 National Main Street designation

January 19, 2024

Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs announced three Indiana Main Street organizations have been designated as Nationally Accredited Main Streets. New NAMS communities include Angola Main Street, Auburn Main Street and New Castle Main Street.

A local program’s performance is evaluated by Indiana Main Street, which works in partnership with Main Street America to identify organizations that meet rigorous performance standards. The Main Street organizations are provided a formal certificate recognizing them as the highest achieving Main Street communities in the State of Indiana. Additionally, they will receive access to MSA and IMS trainings, networking opportunities with other regional and statewide programs, a resource toolbox unique to their needs, and more.
