Who We Are

The East Central Indiana Regional Partnership (ECIRP), based in Muncie, is a regional economic development organization responsible for marketing 9 counties (Blackford, Delaware, Fayette, Grant, Henry, Jay, Randolph, Rush and Wayne) for new business investment and talent attraction. We work with various partners on a state, regional and local level to promote East Central Indiana as the place to work, live and play.

Forge Your Path, an initiative of ECIRP, was created to help each county in ECI attract talent and establish the region as a destination and a place where people want to live, work, and play. We want to build pride and empowerment among ECI residents, attract talented people to our area, and diversify our population.

Position Summary

We’re looking for a passionate college student who is interested in learning more about East Central Indiana while developing their marketing abilities. Overall, our goal is to provide guidance and opportunities to help develop marketing skills while also encouraging the intern to forge their own path in East Central Indiana.

Tasks

  • Create social media content and and assist with platform management
  • Assist with event planning
  • Assist with the implementation and planning for various marketing projects such as a rebranding initiative for the organization
  • Create graphic assets for social media and other projects
  • Assist with content creation for the website and other projects
  • Collaborate with staff on new marketing ideas and project management
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Must be a junior or senior working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Strategic Communications, Journalism or related field in a higher education institution located within the East Central Indiana region
  • Strong technical knowledge of social media strategies and platforms
  • Able and willing to read and follow verbal and written work instructions and work independently
  • Excellent graphical, editing, and communication skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite and/or WordPress experience a plus  

Details

  • Office located in downtown Muncie; hybrid office/remote work
  • Flexible hours and schedule, 10-15 hours a week from January – April
  • Will be asked to travel to counties throughout the region; reimbursable mileage
