The City of Mar­i­on has been award­ed a $1 million Com­mu­ni­ty Cross­ing Match­ing Grant from the Indi­ana Depart­ment of Transportation. The pro­ject­ed cost for the 2023 road and streets project is $2 million. May­or Jess Alum­baugh stat­ed, ​“The City of Mar­i­on is pleased to have been award­ed this one mil­lion dol­lar Com­mu­ni­ty Cross­ing Grant from INDOT. These funds, com­bined with the administration’s finan­cial com­mit­ment to our city’s infra­struc­ture, will help us con­tin­ue to improve our streets through­out the com­mu­ni­ty which had long been neglected.”
